Serve at Camp Brethren Heights
To host a successful camp season each year, we rely on people in our Brethren community and beyond to serve in various capacities during each session. Although most of the serving roles at camp are volunteer, we also offer a paid lifeguard position throughout the summer. Learn more about both types of serving opportunities below. Thank you for considering a role to support our camp’s programming!
Volunteer Staff
We look for these volunteer positions to support each camp session (click on each role for a description): Dean, Counselor, Counselor-in-training (CIT), Head Cook, Cook's Helper, Craft Leader, Worship Leader, Nature Leader, Health Officer, and Waterfront Observer. Most volunteer roles can also be trained as a Waterfront Observer if interested. All our volunteer roles work together to create an unforgettable camp experience for our youth! The Central Registry Clearance Form is also included for those who need to fill it out (new volunteers and volunteers who do not have one on file from 2023 or 2024).
Paid Staff
We offer the opportunity to be a lifeguard (Waterfront Director) for the entire camp season (June 15-20, July 14-16, and July 20-25). To apply for this job, you must have an active lifeguard certification. The lifeguard monitors all water-related activities at the camp, including swimming at the camp beach and island property, use of the pontoon, kayaking & canoeing, and mucking through the swamp (a unique CBH activity!) The Central Registry Clearance Form is also included for those who need to fill it out (new staff and staff who do not have one on file from 2023 or 2024).
